These days Modern interior design is mainly based on clean lines and less clutter. Whether it’s a sofa, a kitchen or more precisely lighting, at National Lighting we are finding excessive ornamental lights are losing their popularity while newer cleaner fixtures have increased in popularity. We are all used to seeing light fixtures adorned with elaborate crystals and metalwork. However, within a modern home of today where the aesthetic seems to be more about simplicity and cleaner lines, these intricate older designs don’t work so well. So, the more simple, understated fixtures hit the lighting market, the more popular this trend is becoming within homes. These newer fixtures usually focus on simple geometric designs, neutral colours and a more prominent form that works with light to elevate the design rather than using metalwork and crystals, thus blending seamlessly into a modern space.
